Dynasty Design Co. began long before its first custom-crafted balloon installation was ever created.

Founder and Creative Director Joanna Carranza’s journey started in Guam, where her passion for hospitality, creativity, and entrepreneurship began to take shape at Simon Sanchez High School.

For three years, Joanna participated in the ProStart Hospitality Program under her teacher, Mrs. Vicky Schrage, where she learned the foundations of guest service, food and beverage operations, teamwork, preparation, and the importance of creating memorable experiences. During that time, Mrs. Schrage told her that she would become a teacher someday. Although Joanna did not fully understand it then, she would later realize that leadership, training, and sharing knowledge would continue to appear throughout her journey.

Joanna also participated in Junior Achievement under her mentor, Ignacia Atalig, where she helped develop a complete business plan covering production, marketing, human resources, finance, and the company’s mission and vision. Her leadership and financial understanding earned her the position and award of Vice President of Finance.

That early experience gave Joanna her first glimpse into what it meant to take an idea and build it into a functioning business.

She later earned a degree in Food & Beverage Management and completed an internship at the Guam Reef Hotel under Public Relations Officer Chito Guzman. There, she gained firsthand experience in hospitality, communication, presentation, and the details that shape a guest’s overall experience.

Her professional journey continued through restaurant operations at KFC, under the guidance of her manager, Mr. Perry, she learned the importance of standard operating procedures, consistency, preparation, and quality control. As a magician’s assistant working under Nabil with Magic Rocks at the Westin Hotel, she discovered how lighting, timing, presentation, and surprise could transform a moment into an unforgettable experience. The guests she performed for ranged from hotel visitors to local audiences and partner events, giving her exposure to a wide variety of guest experiences.

Joanna later entered automotive sales with Military AutoSource and Atkins Kroll Guam, where she strengthened her skills in client service, sales, relationship building, and guiding people through meaningful purchases. Her experience in real estate with Home Ventures further developed her ability to understand her clients’ needs, coordinate details, and build trust during important life transitions.

Although these experiences may have appeared unrelated at the time, each one became part of the foundation for Dynasty Design Co.

Hospitality taught her how to care for people.

Business education taught her how to build systems.

Sales taught her how to listen and communicate.

Real estate taught her how to manage important milestones.

Live entertainment taught her how to create moments people remember.

Today, those experiences come together through Dynasty Design Co., a luxury celebration design studio specializing in Dynasty Signature Collections, custom-crafted balloon installations, proposal experiences, and curated Signature Experiences.

Joanna founded Dynasty Design Co. with the belief that beautiful celebration design should do more than fill a space. It should make people feel welcomed, honored, and deeply celebrated.

Every Collection begins with an intentional Color Story. Every installation is thoughtfully crafted. Every Signature Experience is designed with the guest journey in mind.

The mission of Dynasty Design Co. is to create timeless celebrations that honor life’s most meaningful milestones through intentional hospitality and unforgettable experiences.

Welcome to Dynasty Design Co.—where every celebration becomes part of your dynasty.
